Lustron houses are prefabricated enameled steel houses developed in the post-World War II era United States in response to the shortage of homes for returning GIs by Chicago industrialist and inventor Carl Strandlund. I just moved into a Lustron home and I wanted to know some of the history and purchased three of the books and I'm quite happy with the purchase.
